Liden & Denz Agency wins LTM Star Award „Best agency Europe“ for the second time

Liden & Denz-Partner Agency, Boa Lingua in Switzerland won the LTM Star award „Best agency Western Europe 2008“ fort he second time in a row. „We are very proud to have won the award again and are sure this reflects the hard work and the continuous efforts to assure that our students are well counselled and know what to expect and what not to expect from a language course abroad. And It is all about good and strong relationships with high quality partner schools, and one of them is definitely Liden & Denz in St. Petersburg and Moscou” says Kurt Krummenacher, Managing Director of Boa Lingua in Switzerland.

The Liden & Denz Languages Centres St. Petersburg and Moscow have won the prestigious LTM Star Award for International Education for best language school in the "other languages" category, which included schools for Japanese, Chinese, Arabic and Portuguese around the world.

The International Association of Language Centres IALC of which Liden & Denz is a longtime member, received again the award in the category "School Association". Three other IALC schools picked up awards:

  • Best German Language School: GLS Sprachenzentrum, Berlin
  • Best French Language School: French in Normandy, Rouen
  • Best Italian Language School: Babilonia, Taormina

Liden & Denz short-listed for Industry Award

Both our Russian language centres have been nominated for this years LTM Star Awards, in which language travel professionals worldwide vote for their favourite partner organisations.

But Liden & Denz is only one of 19 nominated IALC language schools, a record number which shows how popular IALC schools are in the industry. The IALC press release on the awards is here.

“The International Association of Language Centres (Ialc) celebrated its 25th anniversary this year with a special gala evening during its workshop at which prestigious members from the association’s history were honoured. Renato Borges de Sousa from Cial in Portugal was made Honorary Life President of the association (above) and founding members Mary Towers, James Swift, Cesar Rennert were in attendance as was loyal delegate Klaus Vetter. The workshop, in Munich, Germany, welcomed 290 delegates from around the world and was preceded by an AGM, which saw the election of Walter Denz of Liden & Denz Language Centre in Russia as new Ialc President.”

Free lunch as course add-on!

From 31 March 2008, one free lunch per week will be offered as part of our one-to-one packages. Any student who has booked an individual course with Liden & Denz…

…will receive the opportunity to apply his Russian skills with his teacher in the informal atmosphere of a restaurant close to the school once per week.This add-on will be included in all one-to-one packages sold internationally. For operational reasons, this service cannot not be offered to our expatriate students.

Die Situation ist klassisch: Gemütlich sitzt man mit ein paar Freunden zuhause (im Hotelzimmer, bei der Gastfamilie, usw.), erzählt sich was, trinkt dazu ein Gläschen. Und es kommt, wie es kommen musste: Der Wodka geht aus. Gerade eben hat man zu Trinkspruch XY der Flasche auf dem Tisch den Rest gegeben, und im Eisfach, da wo sonst der Nachschub herkommt, herrscht gähnende Leere. Entweder macht man mit Wasser weiter, oder es gehen alle in ihre Betten, oder einer muss eben raus zum Einkaufen. Variante eins und zwei kommen in den wenigsten Fällen in Frage, in den Ferien schon gar nicht, so dass noch Lösung drei bleibt, das Beschaffen von Nachschub. Möge das kleine Fest unter Freunden weitergehen!

Liden & Denz on Swiss Television

What has changed in the last ten years in their personal and professional life? How much has Russia changed? Where is the country heading to? This fascinating documentary features interviews with Walter (the owner of Liden & Denz), includes impressions of the Liden & Denz Language Centre Moscow and shows our 15 years gala last autumn.

Swiss Channel 1 showed the programme on the 21 February during prime time in its original version. An international version will be shown on the evening of the 14 May on the German speaking satellite channel 3Sat. The documentary can also be watched from SF1′s website (video link at the bottom).

Denz ist heute Chef zweier Firmen und verheiratet. Baumann dagegen ist arbeitslos, lebt von seiner Frau getrennt und ist wieder zurück in Bern.”
