The Liden & Denz Language Centres Russia have rolled out today a brand new booking tool for our social and cultural activities. It allows students to plan ahead and book even before they arrive in Russia!

Our social and cultural activities schedules for Moscow and St. Petersburg have been live on our website for some time. They are constantly being updated.

What is new is that students can actually book and pay for the various activities conveniently on the net with any credit card or a paypal account. Some events continue to be free, such as our popular city orientation tours and the legendary vodka/champagne parties.

As Walter Denz from the Liden & Denz Language Centres points out: “Students can check the schedule anytime, anywhere and decide at short notice if they want to go on a themed walking tour or book an excursion. For learners staying four weeks or less it will definitely make sense to book activities before they actually start with their studies. The live schedule helps to make the most out of the Russia experience”.

The Liden & Denz Language Centres Russia won the coveted LTM Star Award for World Languages for the fourth consecutive time! The awards are voted for by study abroad professionals and reflect professional judgment as to which educational institutions deserve to be known as an LTM Star company. Education agencies nominate their preferred school partners. Reasons given are personal to each voter and reflect a high commitment to service and quality.

The awards ceremony took place in London at the Park Lane Hilton. Liden & Denz was represented by company founder Walter Denz and Moscow school director Julia Patasheva.

The Liden & Denz Language Centres are delighted to report that all students from Schengen states (including non-EU countries Norway and Switzerland) will be exempted from Russian visa fees when studying at our Russian language centres in Saint-Petersburg or Moscow. The exemption works only for student visas and for a maximum duration of 3 months. The last country to sign this agreement with Russia was Switzerland, where this rule was only very recently applied.

Our Moscow centre has recently featured on Russian news channel Russia Today (RT). Julia Patasheva, centre director of Liden & Denz Moscow, explains which courses are suited for which students. The recording is on youtube and directly accessible from our TV page.

The Liden & Denz Language Centre Moscow has been admitted as member to EAQUALS, an international association of language schools which operate a very rigorous accreditation scheme. The only other school for Russian in Russia having passed the demanding set of criteria is the Liden & Denz Language Centre St. Petersburg. EAQUALS makes sure that internal quality assurance schemes are regularly and independently verified by qualified inspectors.

Our Russian language schools in St. Petersburg and Moscow are now the only language providers in Russia being fully accredited by EAQUALS and IALC. Julia Patasheva, Liden & Denz’ Moscow director is jubilant: “We had to work hard over several years to achieve the level of service for which these accreditations stand for. We feel thrilled!”

Liden & Denz’ co-founder Walter Denz notes the importance of the consulting value of these accreditations: “There is no national accreditation scheme that really would ensure the quality of a teaching organisation in Russia. International accreditations like IALC or EAQUALS fill this gap and help to bring up the standards to a world class level”.

The latest terror attack in Russia hitting the countries busiest international airport Domodedovo killed at least 35 travelers and injured hundreds.

We are relieved to report that all students and staff are now accounted for. At Liden & Denz we all are shocked and saddened by this senseless attack on innocent people. We send our sincere condolences to all those who have suffered in this dreadful outrage.

We know from earlier attacks that this will not deter Moscovites from continuing their normal life.

While some flights into DME airport have been cancelled, the airport remains open and city is functioning normally and is as safe as it was before the attack.

The Liden & Denz Language Centres are offering Russian Standard Group Courses throughout 2011 at no more than 225 per lesson (when booking 9 weeks). Our daytime courses in small groups start daily at 10:00 and finish at 14:00. Courses are available both in St.Petersburg and Moscow and start every second week throughout the year. The Liden & Denz Language Centres in St.Petersburg and Moscow have won the LTM Star Awards in the category World Languages for a third consecutive time. Directors Yana Alyoshina, Julia Patasheva and CEO Walter Denz received the award at a gala-dinner in the London Hilton Park Lane hotel last week.

On stage, Yana, Julia and Walter took the opportunity to thank all Liden & Denz agents who have supported our Russian language centres during the past year. Their votes have lead to the third award in the category “World Languages” in three years.
