The Liden & Denz Language Centres in St.Petersburg and Moscow have won the LTM Star Awards in the category World Languages for a third consecutive time. Directors Yana Alyoshina, Julia Patasheva and CEO Walter Denz received the award at a gala-dinner in the London Hilton Park Lane hotel last week.

On stage, Yana, Julia and Walter took the opportunity to thank all Liden & Denz agents who have supported our Russian language centres during the past year. Their votes have lead to the third award in the category “World Languages” in three years.

The move of most Russian language courses to our new city centre location near the Russian Museum is completed and we are proud to present a first series of pictures of the new centre in our photo gallery. This week we are installing internet workstations for our students and we expect our refectory to be up and running by next week.

First questionnaires show that student have reacted extremely positive to the new location!

All Russian language courses in St.Petersburg have been moved to our new city centre location opposite the Russian Museum as of Monday 6 June 2010. This is a week later than planned, but it was a smooth move by all means.

Interior photos of the new location will be released in mid June. For the moment, please meet the staff who will run our new school in the historical centre of St.Petersburg:

An official opening is planned for September 2010.

Our new St.Petersburg centre is still being refurbished but we are confident that everything will be ready in two weeks. From 31 May, all Russian courses will be held at our new city centre location next to the Russian Museum and other landmark buildings.

The fascinating rooftop pictures were taken on the first really sunny and warm day of the year earlier this week.

The new centre has a fantastic location off Nevsky Prospekt between the Russian Museum, the Mikahilovsky Zamok (built by Pavel I, son of Catherine the Great), the circus and near two very nice parks. The area offers some of the finest examples of St.Petersburg architecture and is close to the Fontanka and Neva rivers. The closest metro station (Nevsky Prospekt/Gostiny Dvor) is a five minute walk away.

Our old centre on Transportny pereulok will continue its operation, but will mostly serve as overflow (for one-to-one courses only) for the busy summer period. Foreign language courses for the local population will be offered in both premises. Our executive centre will also move, so the premises on Sotsialisticheskaya will close soon.

As of 31 May, all courses will take place in our new location on Inzhernernaya ulitsa 6.

Our Moscow centre reports that all students currently enroled, as well as all staff and teachers safely arrived at school this morning. Nobody is missing. We will post more information soon.
